Cartridge Valves - Check and Load Control

Check Valves Allows flow in one direction while checking the flow in the opposite direction.
Pilot Operated Check Valves Similar to a check valve, but can be opened or closed using an external pilot signal.
Shuttle Valves Actually a two-way check valve, this valve allows either of two inputs to be directed to a single output.

Check Valves
Poppet Style Check Valves

Description:
These poppet style check valves provide unrestricted flow in one direction and positive shutoff in the other direction. They are often used to isolate flow in hydraulic systems, and feature fully guided poppets for smooth operation and soft seats for virtually zero leakage. Standard check valves have a 5 PSI Spring.

Pilot Operated Check Valves

Description:
These pilot operated check valves will permit flow to a portion of a circuit and not allow reverse flow until adequate pilot pressure is applied to the pilot port. They may be used to hold an actuator in position until pilot signal commands a change in direction.

Operation:
Free flow is permitted from the valve port to the cylinder port. In the absence of adequate pilot pressure, the poppet remains seated preventing reverse flow. When adequate pilot pressure is applied at the pilot port, the pilot piston unseats the check poppet permitting reverse flow.

Shuttle Valves
Shuttle Valves

Description:
The CS101 Shuttle Valves are typically used in load sensing and hydraulic brake release applications. They provide pressure to the outlet port regardless of which cylinder port is energized, and are often used when two external signals from different locations must control the same function.

Operation:
The valve consists of a single ball placed between two opposing check seats. When one inlet port is pressurized, the ball is forced against the opposite seat, blocking that inlet and providing a flow path to the outlet port.
