Cartridge Valves - Solenoid Operated

2-Way
Solenoid Valves
Normally open and normally closed versions available.
3-Way
Solenoid Valves
Any of these valves can be used for either normally open or normally closed applications.
Solenoid Coils Provides a choice of operating voltage and connector types for any of the solenoid valves on this page.

2-Way Solenoid Valves

These single solenoid cartridge valves are 2-way operation and are available in either a normally open (N/O) or normally closed (N/C) configuration. Many operating voltages are available and these valves will fit standard cavity bodies.

Normally Closed
Normally Closed 2-Way Solenoid Valves

Operation:
Normally Closed (N/C) valves are held closed with spring force, blocking flow. Hydraulic pressure assists in holding the valve closed. When the solenoid is energized, pilot flow is vented creating an imbalance across the main poppet which allows flow from inlet to outlet.

Max. Flow(GPM) Cavity Max. Operating Pressure Stock No. Price

70 C20-2 3000 DS201CR 115.60
Normally Open
Normally Open 2-Way Solenoid Valves

Operation:
Normally Open (N/O) valves are held open by a spring. Pilot flow is vented to the outlet port, creating an imbalance which holds the valve open. When energized, this pilot flow is blocked allowing a pressure build-up which forces the valve poppet closed, blocking flow.

3-Way Solenoid Valves
3-Way Solenoid Valves

Description:
These valves are used as low flow directional valves, pilot valves, or selector valves. They can be used in normally open or normally closed applications.

Operation: (for Normally Closed Valve)
In the de-energized mode, the spool is positioned by spring force. The solenoid, when energized, directly shifts the spool against the spring, thereby changing the flow path through the valve.

Solenoid Coils
Solenoid Coils

Description:
All of these coils fit the "DS" Series Valves, both 2-way and 3-way types. The coils are available in a variety of voltages, both AC and DC and wiring configurations. Conduit outlet is a standard 1/2" NPSM for use with rigid conduit or flexible Seal-Tite® conduit.
DIN style coils have the Hirschmann 3-Pin plug-in type electrical connection for use with the cable assemblies listed in the hydraulic accessory section of this web site.
